Hardcover, original full leather binding with exterior in extremely poor shape: leather is blackened on spine and both boards are detached. Despite the rough exterior interior binding is in much better shape and is complete. Pages are toned due to age and foxing is present throughout but internal binding is still secure and text pages are tight. The front pastedown contains the bookplate of Dr. S. F. Mixer in the title page of the first volume (there are two volumes bound in this book) has a faint penciled signature of the doctor. Dr. Mixer was a noted physician in New York, specifically the Buffalo area. No other handwriting found in the book. A few pages have some light staining spots or corner folds but other than the penciled signature there were no other pages with handwriting found. This is an excellent copy for rebinding or to be used for reference purposes.…
