Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book describes a machine the author designed to automatically test the lifespan of silver-zinc and silver-cadmium batteries under conditions simulating helicopter use. These tests departed radically from typical methods of battery evaluation, and the author provides an insightful account of the motivations for and implementation of this new approach. The book gives in-depth coverage of the design of the machine and its innovative timing circuit, as well as the successful results of the implemented testing regimen. This book will be of interest to electrical engineers, battery researchers, military historians, and anyone curious about the development and testing of specialized equipment in the field. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
