Although not specifically on fossil plants this series contains several interesting papers on fossil botany, and is of interest as Jongmans published many papers in it. The first reports nicely bound in half leather.Includes three original plates (mounted photographs) from Jongman's paper ''Beiträge zur Kenntnis der Karbonflora von niederländisch Neu-Guinea'' published in the 1938-1939 report.

Paper label with script title on spines. = A rather uncommon complete set. Deals with stratigraphy, palaeobotany and palaeontology of Carboniferous strata. Bindings weak, not the work of a professional. Library label on spine foot; stamps on half-titles and titles, one inner joint broken, otherwise good, complete. ADDED: the Compte Rendu of the first Congrès, Heerlen, 7 - 11 juin 1927, also edited by W. J. Jongmans, published in Liège (Belgium) in 1928 (liii, 852, ii pp.; numerous plates, and graphs), and in a similar binding, however with the book block largely detached.
