The first part has stories and sketches by various authors about the Old Country; the second part is entirely full-page b&w photos almost all taken in the U.S. (there are a very few taken in Mexico). Apparently intended for first, possibly second, generation Swedish emigrants to the U.S. In cloth backed illustrated boards. Covers very worn, with soil and scuffing, spine ends frayed, tears on joint; some soil on endpapers, tear and crude tape repair on ffep, figures written on rear pastedown, smudges in margins in text, a few small tears, otherwise clean.
