From the preface This book titled Indigenous Knowledge and Po…licy Issues in Fisheries is focused on three major tribes such as Adi Galo and Nyishi of a frontier state called Arunachal Pradesh. It is an attempt to document traditional knowledge related to fish and conservation value providing many photographs related to IKS. It is hoped that this compilation will provide new information on the indigenous knowledge systems including fishing methods post harvest processing and local fish biodiversity conservation policies developed by the tribal community of the Arunachal Pradesh.
