Text block intact and clean, showing only occasional light foxing. 149 pp. + 4 [of 6?] plates at rear, with plates printed on versos with facing-page captions; Pl. 4 is opposite captions for Pl. 6, so presumably Pl. 5 and 6 are lacking, though nothing appears to be missing in the binding gutter (perhaps a printer's error?). Volume is otherwise collated and complete. Scarce early natural history text. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Ex-Library.
