Very light toning top edge and otherwise in fine, unread condition. Dr. Mark Sweeten Wade, was a member of the Royal Historical Society and the British Columbia Historical Society. He was also an author and a former owner of The Inland Sentinel, founded in 1880. The unpublished manuscript was written by Wade in the 1920's where it lay forgotten in a trunk until 1976. Wade spent over forty years working in and near the Cariboo and spent many hours collecting the reminiscences of pioneers of the district.
