Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Fair. 1st Edition. First edition, with dustjacket. Although the book is good and the dustjacket is fair, this is an exceptional copy because of the excellent state of preservation of the front panel of the dustjacket (the best I've ever seen; see photos). Light brown cloth-c…overed boards, blind stamped front board with raised mushroom cloud, 8 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches, 186 pp., index, illustrated with numerous b/w drawings. Moderate patchy erosion of cloth sizing, consistent with insect damage. Besides some edgewear, the chief dustjacket defect is patchy loss of paper, also consistent with insect damage, predominantly involving the spine ends and rear hinge, but sparing the front panel. See photos before and after addition of an archival mylar cover. The front panel is especially bright and attractive in the mylar cover. No mention of a global thermonuclear war consisting predominantly of high altitude EMP attack, which could virtually destroy U.S. society with just a few weapons. Including loss of the ability to cool the spent fuel storage facilities at multiple nuclear reactor sites, resulting in catastrophic radioactive fires. Adding to the massive death toll from lack of electricity and virtual complete breakdown of food, fuel, sanitation and medical systems. (K011).
