Flaking on the leather spine, a few dents to the edges, corners lightly rubbed and bumped. Slipcase is missing parts of the upper and lower strips, edge worn.

This book begins with a brief Introduction about the history and tradition of Christmas carols. The remainder of the book includes the lyrics for the following songs: "Silent Night (Stille Nacht)," "God Rest You Merry Gentlemen," "Away in a Manger," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "The Cherry-Tree Carol," "It Came upon the Midnight Clear," "Whilst Shepherds Watch'd," "The Wassailers' Carol," "The First Noel," "O Little Town of Bethlehem," and "O Come, All Ye Faithful (Adeste Fidelis).".

(The front flap carries excerpts from five N.Y. critics' reviews of the show; all the other plays listed in the rear-panel blurb were on Broadway in either 1959 or 1960, which marks this as a fairly early printing.
