Dust jacket has heavy wear, including large chips and edge tears, creases, rubbing, and small chips. Shelf rubbed. The story of mid-19th century Canadian civil engineers Walter and Francis Shanly, as told by their letters. Known for their work on railways and canals, Walter went on to become a Member of Parliament for Grenville South in the 1860s.
