Aqua cloth boards with gilt spine titles, decoration, and on the spine tail, the name Simpkin; blind stamped emblem of the Abbey Classics on the upper board. Moderately rubbed spine tail and corners. Colored top text block edge and end papers. Contents xv + 223 pp, are somewhat age-tanned but clean and securely bound. Yellow dj with blue lettering and lines on the spine and front. This dj, which is NOT price clipped (3/6 net), has gradations in color, is somewhat soiled, and has top edge wear including small tears and creases/ curling. NOT an ex-library coy!

Frontispiece, which is loose, with tissue guard, 99 untrimmed pages. This 1st edition 2nd impression published in January 1923 is in very good condition.
