This is "German Poetry from the Beginnings to 1750", a bilingual anthology featuring the original German texts with English translations, edited by Ingrid Walsøe - Engel. The book, issued in hardcover format, was published in 1992 by Continuum in its 'German Library Series', and has an Introduction by George C. Schoolfield. This hardcover is now OP. It's a magnificent presentation, gathering together all of the notable poets within the time-frame, and many of lesser note that may have been forgotten by the general reading public.
