Hinges are intact, textblock is square with pointed corners. Moderate overall book shelf/timewear, boardwear, board edge and cornerwear, spotting, sunning; foxing on textblock edges, bookplate on inner front; considerable jacketwear, jacket edgewear, small edge tears, chipping, sunning, spotting.

Reprint: octavo; hardcover, with upper board illustration and titles; 191pp., with many monochrome drawings. Moderate wear; some scuffing to the boards; text block edges spotted with some marks; light offset to the endpapers; previous owner's ink inscription to the flyleaf. The wrapper rather spotted, with light grazing to the edges and some creasing and wear to the spine ends and rear joint. Spotting throughout the wrapper, including to the inner flaps. The corners and spine ends of the book lightly bumped, with light loss to the tail; the boards bright. Neat little ownership stamp to the rear endpaper, a few spots to prelims, else bright. Richly illustrated in colour. A charming illustrated work, this the English translation.
