Hardcover. Condizione: Good. 1st Edition. First edition thus, of the Goble illustrated version of the title. Decoratived green boards with tear to head of spine (see photo) and with the spine faded. Lighter fading to front and rear boards. Stain affecting the foot of the spine, along with minor penetration to the lower inner edges of the pastedowns and first/last couple of leaves. Gilt to all faces of the page block. Text generally bright, with some scattered spotting and finger-marking: consistent for age. 32 tipped-in colour plates with tissue guards, by Warwick Goble.
