Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a creased, worn and torn dust jacket which is nicely preserved and displayed in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. ~M~ [1.0P] The first issue of a science fiction novel by Noel M. Loomis (1905-1969), writing under the pseudonym Silas Water. Three years later, in 1958, The Man With Absolute Motion saw its first American publication as the cover piece in the October 1958 issue of Satellite Science Fiction. Set in a desolate venue, the Universe is paralysed by interminable - perhaps not intentionally comic - bureaucratic delays and is also running out of energy. After saving the Universe with considerable help, the eponymous hero takes an Eve figure back to a depopulated Earth to start again.

There is spotting to the page edges & the endpapers but inside the pages are clean. No inscription or ownership markings. No torn, loose or missing pages. The original jacket is worn with some large tears but only a little loss at the corners etc. The corner of the inner flap is clipped but the original publisher's printed price is still visible (6/6). A good reading copy.
