Inscribed by the editor on the preliminary blank page: "Miss Belle C. Strickland / with respects of W.C.Watson / 1 January 1889." Modest external wear, some toning and chipping to title label, corners gently bumped, with a few pages roughly opened, and a thin crack to gutter at copyright page; contents clean, with hinges sound; Very Good. Travel journals and biography of American agriculturist, banker, and businessman Elkanah Watson (1758-1842). His journals and other writings produced since his 20s were gathered and edited by his son, Winslow, following his death.
