SIGNED and inscribed by the author on the half title page with ink drawings of musical notes and Frog dancing with flies on either side. Slight wear to edges and corners of dj and boards. Watson takes the old Appalachian and English folk song (which actually probably started in Scotland) and tells the story of Frog's courtship of Miss Mouse in verse, with her own illustrations adding to the tale. Uncommon signed.

Hardcover. Second printing. Squarish octavo (standard size). SIGNED and inscribed by the author on the title page with an ink line drawing of a woodchuck with coat, scarf and skates. Slight wear to edges and corners of dj and boards. Dj is clipped at the bottom corner, but the top corner still has a price of $6.95. Front board has a blue box with a woodchuck within, also in blue. A great winter story of a family of woodchucks enjoying the winter as they prepare for their long sleep. A slightly uncommon book in hardcover, more so signed and in attractive condition.
