OCLC cites two 1954 editions - this Woodford Press imprint and another issued by Beacon Press which was primarily a pulp paper publisher and would presumably be secondary to this hardcover edition. A World War II veteran, author Ernest H. Weatherall served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Forces with postwar careers as a journalist and documentary filmmaker. Weatherall is in interred at Arlington National Cemetery. Weatherall authored at least one other pulp novel titled "Rock 'N Roll Gal." An obituary cites another title "Cool Canary" but that novel eludes further internet searches and OCLC does not locate any copies among member institutions. Weatherall also penned at least one short story "The Want Ad Killer" which was published in the November 1956 issue of the pulp murder mystery magazine "Smashing Detective.".…
