Europawahl 2019: Die Identität des 'Deutschen Volkes' als Stimmenfänger der AfD'.'Deutschland braucht Identität', mit dieser Proklamation wirbt die Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) im Vorfeld der Europawahl am 26. Mai 2019 um die Stimmen der Wähler\*innen. Der Slogan prangt neben fordernden Proklamationen wie 'Für ein Europa der Vaterländer', 'Heimat bewahren!' oder 'Damit aus Europa kein 'Eurabien' wird!' auf Wahlplakaten, an Laternen und Straßenmasten quer durch die Bundesrepublik. Der Appell der europakritischen Partei richtet sich dabei an eine 'Deutsche Nation', ein homogenes 'Wir', ein 'Volk', dessen Bedürfnisse und Sorgen eine klar priorisierte Vorrangstellung innehaben sollen.'Die Menschen in Deutschland scheinen in einer immerwährenden Angst um ihre nationale Identität zu leben' stellt Theodor W. Adorno in seiner Rede an der Universität Wien über die 'Aspekte des neuen Rechtsradikalismus' am 6. April fest. Dieses Statement könnte leichthin aus dem April 2019 stammen. Tatsächlich liegt die Rede des Philosophen und Soziologen aber bereits über 50 Jahre zurück und bezieht sich auf den damaligen Aufstieg der noch jungen Nationaldemokratischen Partei Deutschlands (NPD). Wie eine mahnende 'Flaschenpost' aus dem Jahr 1967, lässt sich ein maßgeblicher Teil der damaligen Analyse aber im Blick auf den aktuellen Diskurs um die Forderung einer kulturellen 'Identität', im Kontext der Europawahl wieder neu interpretieren. In diesen neuen Kontext gestellt aber, zeichnet insbesondere dieser beunruhigende Anachronismus von Adornos 'Kritischer Theorie' ein ebenso faszinierendes, wie wegweisendes Bild. 'Das Gespenst', von dem Adorno in seiner Rede spricht, bewegt sich also erneut virulent im politischen Spektrum der Bundesrepublik. Der brisante politische Diskurs um 'Identität' mischt sich wieder zunehmend in die Wahlkampfprogramme und Partei-Strategien. Aktuell ganz konkret im Kontext der Europawahl 2019 mit der AfD und Ihrer zentralen Forderung: 'Deutschland braucht Identität'.
