He created illustrations for Grimm's Fairy Tales and Marie von Ebner Eschenbach's "Hirzepinzchen" and experienced a particularly creative p…eriod during the five years he lived in the Swiss town of Gottlieben from 1901 to 1906. - Some small ink spots; small crease near right margin. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
