This is a reprint of the 1855 edition of Sacramento Illustrated which was originally published by Barber & Baker, a Sacramento-based publishing firm that was founded by Edmund Lorenzo Barber (c. 1808-1870) and George Holbrook Baker (1827-1906). Barber & Baker's Sacramento Illustrated contained an early history of Sacramento and thirty-three wood engravings depicting scenes in and around Sacramento in the 1850s.
