Charles Harold St. John Hamilton (1876-1961) was an English writer, specialising in writing long-runni…ng series of stories for weekly magazines about recurrent casts of characters, his most frequent and famous genre being boys' public school stories, though he also wrote in other genres. He used a variety of pen-names, generally using a different name for each set of characters he wrote about, the most famous being Frank Richards for the Greyfriars School stories featuring Billy Bunter. This booklet was issued by the Charles Hamilton Museum to accompany an exhibition held at Maidstone, to mark the twelfth anniversary of the Museum in 1974. The book is bound in the original grey card covers with a dark blue cloth spine and blue titling on the front cover. The book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and light soiling to the covers and slight curling to the corners of the front cover. The contents are secure and clean with no inscription.
