Wheeler is included in "A Woman of the Century" which lists 1470 biographical sketches of prominent… 19th century American Women, compiled by Frances Willard and Mary Livermore, published in 1893. In their introduction, the editors claim the, "nineteenth century is woman's century." The reference tool was intended to fill a "Vacant niche in the reference library." Wheeler's short stories and poems were featured in major magazine publications of her day including Harper's, Century Magazine and Ladies Home Journal. She also wrote for many newspapers including from the Northeast to the Midwest including the Boston Globe and the New York Herald. Signed.
