Historical accounts of early Worcester, a joint production of newspaper founder and editor Knowlton and writer Wheelock. Inscription on front endpaper from "E.O.P.L." to Francis H. Lee. Lee lived in Salem, Massachusetts and for a time was Curator of Numismatics at the Essex Institute. He seems to have been active in local historical affairs.
