Photograph of author together with a facsimile signature of him, adjoining the title page with the tissue guard paper still intact. Wonderful illustrations, drawings and photographs throughout the book. 266 pages to include "Details of the Halifax Waterworks and Local & County Altitudes" pages, plus a few additional pages incorporating "List of First Edition Subscribers", thirteen subscribers names, unwittingly omitted in the first and second editions, have been inserted, making the total number of subscribers 1687, and number of copies, 2046.
