Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. The Repertoire of Delusions is a collection of my poetry inspired by the world around me; uniqueness & non-conformity guide my pen to scribe my writing. My inspiration has come from life experiences, both good & not so good. This book is unlike any other poetry book, it does not fit too snugly into any one genre. You may find analogies, stanzas & iambic meter; you may find cacophonies, double dactyls or ditties. Whatever you find, I hope that you find the passion & expression from my written word. I hope that it can give you inspiration & reward in any way that you choose to interpret it. It is a mix of dark & gothic, deep & depressing, & a mixture of self-loving & self-loathing. If it were music, it would sit nicely with dark metal. It would be depressive & black, with a wonderfully explicit solo interlude, mixed with a seductive lead guitar with heart pounding bass. The drum would compellingly lead the rhythm of the verse. My inspiration is lead by the genius poet & lyricist, the notorious front man of The Doors, Jim Morrison. His intellectuality & full-frontal approach to saying what he feels leaves me in awe. Another great writer & non-conformist Oscar Wilde, his infamous & brave quotations & his ability to make the people listen is a true master of words that I have also sought inspiration & solstice throughout my life. The world around me, the people & the places, other poets & writers, knowledge & understanding have all helped me write this book. The title of this book was born from a poem called "delusional repertoire" after writing the poem, I wanted to see where the title would take me. Loosely translated, I believe the repertoire of delusions to mean a collection of weirdness, I think this encapsulates what I set out to achieve. I hope you can find the weirdness within. Enjoy!
