Das Ehepaar hatte offenbar zwei Töchter und 4 erwachsene/halbwüchsige sowie zwei kleine Söhne. Auffällig sind die doppelten Andreaskreuze unter den Fenstern des ersten und zweiten Stocks. Die Aufnahme dürfte… in Osthessen oder Westthüringen entstanden sein. Die Fotografie im Format ca. 11,9 x 16,7 cm ist auf Karton mit gedruckten Bordüren montiert. Der Karton ist bestoßen und fleckig, besonders auf der Rückseite. Das Foto ist deutlich berieben. Über dem Kopf eines der großen Söhne ist ein Kreuz angebracht, auf der Rückseite ist sein Namen (Wilhelm Ma.) vermerkt. Sprache / Language: de 1 Seiten. ca. 21,8 x 26,7 cm.

Posthilfstellen (damals als Posthülfstellen bezeichnet) waren Einrichtungen der Post im 19. Jahrhundert, die an Privatleute vergeben wurden, um den Postdienst auf dem flachen Land" zu gewährleisten, ähnlic…h den Postagenturen aus der heutigen Zeit. Sie entstanden etwa um 1897 herum (.) und wurden nach der Neuordnung in Bayern und dem Deutschen Reich ab 1. Oktober 1898 flächendeckend eingerichtet. (Wikipedia) Die Fotografie zeigt mehrere Generationen der Posthalterfamilie samt Hund vor dem Fachwerk-Anwesen mit der Nr. 9. Die Hilfstelle war zugleich öffentliche Fernsprechstelle, der an der Front angebrachte Kasten scheint allerdings (noch) leer gewesen zu sein. Neben dem Postbriefkasten ist eine Reklametafel für die "Hessische Post - Casseler Stadtanzeiger" angebracht, der für wöchentlich 55 Pfg. bezogen werden konnte. Fotografie auf Karten mit Ornamentecken montiert, alle 4 Ecken sind geknickt. Die Fotografie im Format von ca. 12,1 x 17,3 cm (eigentliches Motiv: ca. 9,5 x 15,5 cm) ist berieben und fleckig. Condizione: Befriedigend. Loseblattwerk Bauernhof und gleichzeitig Postagentur in (vermutlich) Heyerode (Sontra) im nordhessischen Werra-Meißner-Kreis. Die Postagentur war, wie damals auf dem Lande üblich, in einem bäuerlichen Anwesen untergebracht. Auf dem Foto ist das Schild mit dem kaiserlichen Adler und dem Schriftzug 'Heyer…ode' unter dem Adler zu erkennen, das Wort über dem Adler ist nicht zu entziffern. Der Kasten mit der gläsernen Front unterhalb des Postschildes war vermutlich die Vorbereitung für eine öffentliche Fernsprechstelle. Wie bei den Aufnahmen des Ateliers üblich, sind die Mitglieder der Hofbesitzerfamilie in Festkleidung vor dem Gebäude aufgereiht, während die übrigen Bewohner, wahrscheinlich Magd und Knecht, aus dem Fenster schauen. Der Hausherr hat seine repräsentative Pfeife in der Hand. Der Karton ist bestoßen, auf der Rückseite verschmutzt, Die Fotografie hat das Format 12 x 16,8 cm, das eigentliche Motiv ist 9 x 14,4 cm groß. Das Foto ist sauber, etwas kontrastarm.
