H. Wisselink and revised by celebrated Dutch mathematics educator Pieter Wijdenes. This 1933 Zestiende Druk (16th Edition), published by P. Noordhoff N.V. in Groningen and Batavia (modern-day Jakarta, Indonesia), teaches Euclidean theorems and planimetry proofs through a logical-deductive presentation incorporating 119 geometric structural figures throughout. The volume features an elegant historic Dutch notation key and abbreviation guide, and is bound in its original light-brown printed paper covers. Wisselink (died 1916) was a highly respected Dutch mathematics educator whose algebra and geometry guides became standard school texts. Editor Pieter Wijdenes (1872-1972), a towering figure in Dutch mathematics education, revised and updated standard school curricula for over fifty years. Originally produced for the domestic Dutch and colonial Indonesian school markets, this 1933 edition documents early 20th-century Dutch colonial education and mathematical curricula and is collected by historians of mathematics.
