A left-stapled softcover, in pink illustrated covers, measuring 4-7/8" by 7-3/8" and containing 20 internal pages. In the short Foreword, Mr. Jonson writes "When I had written the descriptions of a number of tricks, drawn a few illustrations, pinned the lot together, and called it a book, there arose the difficulty of what to call the book. If you read on a little way you will discover why I called it 'LET'S PRETEND'." Magic tricks, a few illustrated, include: The Lady's Scarf; The Card at Any Number; The Paper Hat; Prediction; Nap; Two Half Crowns; The Pearl Mystery; Hey Presto; The Torn and Restored Strip of Paper. Small round sticker from Chanin's Studio Magic (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) on title page; staples age-rusted (no bleeding); covers lightly soiled; light scuffing along outer, narrow spine fold; a few minor marks by former owner in pencil.
