She received good reviews at an exhibition in 1864 in which she d…isplayed two of her landscapes. In 1868, she met Manet with whom she learned and contributed to the development of the Impressionist movement. Her scenes of peaceful everyday rural life were displayed in almost all of the Impressionist exhibitions. Morisot married Manet's brother, Eugene, in 1874. A SCARCE ITEM. Almost fine covers a couple of light corner creases and a neat, small owners name in biro to end-papers. Unfaded or worn and very sound and tight.
