Ex-library with some library features: a very faint call number in white ink on the spine, glue stain from the removed card pocket on the inside of the front cover. No rubber stamps. That said, this is actually a quite nice copy. Bound in decorative blue cloth with an embossed map of Lake Itasca and Lake Glazier on both covers. A native American paddling a canoe gold-stamped on the spine. Very light wear to the binding. Pages are tight clean no marks. No odor. No water damage. No soiling. No sun fading.

hardcover. Condizione: Fair. Reading/research copy of this memoir by a Union soldier who was a prisoner of war during the Civil War is an 1870 printing. Brown cloth boards are worn heavily on the corners, worn at the edges and on the surface, spine has loss head/tail, hole on front edge. Grubby endpapers with pencil marks, foxed throughout, pg 23 loose in book and chipped, weak hinge, tissue guard for frontis is mostly torn out. Not a collectible copy, but fine for reading or research. All orders packed with care, most dust jackets protected by Brodart sleeve, independent bookseller since 2011.
