He worked closely with painters like Sir Godfrey Kneller and Willem Wissing, producing popular prints of aristocracy and royalty.Biography artist: Willem Wissing (16561687) was a Dutch portrait painter active in England, known for painting members of the English nobility. He succeeded Sir Peter Lely and painted in a similar baroque style. Condition: very good, given age. Light creasing, foxing and soiling. Loosely ttached to a carrier sheet. Some saing and dampstaining. Trimmed close to plate mark. Irregular paper edges, with some small tears and paper loss. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
