Very good with very good dust jacket. Pocket removal from back endpaper has thinned page in one area. Dust jacket has a one inch scar on spine, has a long vertical scratch on front, and several horizonal scratches on back.

Includes a large and completely intact fold-out map at the rear. This copy is INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY BOTH AUTHORS dated March 23, 1949. Taken from diaries of a Cincinatti city official and the letters he sent his wife during the Civil War. Alfred West Gilbert fought for the Union with the 39th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. A nice copy and especially scarce signed. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed.
