Stamped No. '1493' (of 3000) and presented to 'Dr. A. M. Lninger', a Lakewood, Colorado dentist, per the limitation page. The 22-page contents, with in-text decorative illustrations, otherwise appear clean, complete and securely bound. Thin (rice) paper-covered boards--i.e., a greenish wood-grain design quarter bound in white with grey decoration. The wood-grain paper has Chinese characters stamped in red, and on the upper board, a red-bordered label with the Western title. (The book's publication page subtitle is 'Being the True Story of Kolynos on the World's Frontier'.) Rubbed edges, rear bottom corner crease, quarter-inch tear along the spine from the top, a couple of smudges, and a bit of light stain-like discoloration along the spine. All in all, still a well-preserved and attractive copy. NOT an ex-library book!
