Two circa 1890 Quebec City albumen photographs (7.25 x 9.5 and 4.5 x 7.5 inches wide) mounted recto/verso onto a 9 x 11.25 inch wide piece of gilt-edged card stock. One view is credited to Wm. In the ice-bridge photo, the sign of the Richelieu & Ontario Navigation Company can be seen on their dockside building adjacent to the stone building that now houses the Canadian Coast Guard. Photos w. small scratches and minor fading near edges, card mount w. spotting and a note in pencil "St. Lawrence Quebec" Two evocative and early images, both offering a great snapshot view of 19th century life on the lower waterfront area of Quebec City's Little Champlain Street, or Rue du Petit-Champlain in French.
