Hard Cover. Condizione: Poor. No Jacket. This is a four volume set. Copyright dates are: Volume I, 1907; Volume II, 1954; Volume III, 1955, Volume IV, 1958. Usual ex-library features, some marked through. Volume I: pages are slightly darkened and brittle with age. Tissue covering frontispiece is torn. One page has a 6" edge tear…. A few pages have insect damage at lower edge. Cover is slightly discolored and worn at corners. There is a 2" split in cloth at lower edge of spine. Top and bottom of spine are frayed. Volumes II, III, and IV: The interiors are clean and tight. Bindings are good. Covers are slightly discolored and worn at corners. Each volume has library numbers on spine. Illustrated. Ex-Library.

Externally, smart, with the odd small mark and slight bumping to the heads and tails of the spines, and to the extremities, a little heavier to Gloucester II, with another bump to right edge of front board. Slight fading to spines of Gloucester II and Dorset II. White marks to right edge of Dorset III and X, very faint to VIII right edge. Dust wrappers are mostly bright and clean, with the odd faint mark and sign of browning. Slight spotting to VIII wrapper with small chips to head and tail of wrapper spine, and to bottom wrapper extremity. Slight fading to wrappers. Heavy spotting to VIII reverse of wrapper. End papers are bright and clean, with exception of Gloucester II with spotting, and faint signs of browning to VIII end papers. Prize bookplate to VI front pastedown and bookplate to Gloucester II front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. A small closed tear to Gloucester II frontispiece. Pages are bright and clean, with slight age toning to Gloucester II, and spotting and signs of browning to frontispiece and title leaf. Very Good. Various (illustratore). book.
