Stapled Wraps. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. Offered is an essay entitled "Non-Christian Christians" written by William Roger Greeley and published on September 25, 1957 by the Unitarian Laymen's League out of Boston, Massachusetts. A stapled essay measuring 8-1/2" by 11" and containing four pages of text. Topics discussed are: The Pilgrims; The Founding Fathers; The Preservation of the Union; and American Culture. Mr. Greeley writes, in short part, "Among good Christians the presence of good men who are not Christians is not a disaster, but a strength. Being a 'Christian' as that word is defined is no guarantee of virtue, as history has most sadly shown. Being a believer in the divinity of Christ does not make a man a useful citizen. It should be easy to see what our country needs, for it is very simple. We need men and women of strong characters and of good will towards all their fellow men, whether they be Christian, non-Christian, pagan or heathen!" Previously folded once; light sunning to corners.

Neuware - 'The Essence of Architecture' is a profound exploration of the fundamental principles that define the built environment as both a science and a fine art. Written by William Roger Greeley, this work seeks to identify the core elements that distinguish enduring architecture from mere utilitarian construction. By examining the relationship between form, purpose, and beauty, Greeley provides a framework for understanding how physical structures communicate meaning and evoke emotion. The text delves into essential design concepts such as proportion, symmetry, and the effective use of materials, while also considering the psychological impact of space and light. Greeley argues that true architecture must be a reflection of human values, serving as a mirror to the cultural and spiritual aspirations of society. The book balances theoretical inquiry with practical observations, making it an accessible guide for students of design and seasoned architects alike. As an insightful study of the aesthetic and structural logic behind the world's buildings, 'The Essence of Architecture' remains a valuable resource for anyone interested in the philosophical foundations of the craft. It emphasizes the importance of integrity in design and the pursuit of a harmony that transcends temporary trends, ensuring the work's lasting relevance in the field of architectural theory. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
