Condizione: Good. A photograph of Maywald's house with his life dated and a manuscript quote from Cocteau verso. Born in 1907 in the city of Kleve in Germany, Wilhelm Maywald - who later changed his name to Willy - arrived in France in 1931. He joined the circle of artists in Montparnasse , which he began to photograph. Recognized after the war for his portraits of artists, as much for his work on fashion. First photographer of Dior, he photographed his first collection in 1947 and later became his personnal photographer. He also made many pictures for other great fashion houses, such as Givenchy, Balenciaga, Jacques Fath or Edward MolyneuxFrom the collection of Danièle Giraudy. Diplômée de l'École des Beaux-arts et de l'École du Louvre, Danièle Giraudy a accompli sa carrière dans de nombreux musées de France : Musée Picasso d'Antibes, Musée des Arts décoratifs de Paris, musées de Marseille. Conservateur général du patrimoine, elle est spécialisée dans l'art moderne, la pédagogie de l'art et la muséologie.
