[4], 96 pp. Twenty-six mounted sepia illustrations. Original blue-gray paper boards with calf spine and tips. Title in gilt on fro…nt cover and spine. All edges gilt. Binding extremities rubbed, chipped at head of spine, dampstaining to boards. A decent copy of a very scarce title. First edition of one of the scarcest Leadenhall Press books: OCLC lists only three copies. The illustrations are remarkable, reminiscent of the Neo-classicism of Flaxman, yet very much of the fantasy genre.
