Lo stato conservativo è buono, in quanto al suo esterno il volume si presenta ingiallito e con tracce di fioritura e polvere soprattutto al piatto anteriore. Macchia di umidità al piatto posteriore. I tagli sono imprecisi, ma l'interno è ben conservato con testo pulito e fruibile, interamente in lingua inglese. Pagine intonse. Bellissime le 7 tavole in b/n che fanno da corredo al volume. Volume LIV numero 3 edito in memoria del Museo di Zoologia comparata al college di Harvard.
