Aggiungi al carrelloSeventh Printing. Octavo. 300 pages. Original Hardcover with original dustjacket in protective collector's mylar. The rare dustjacket slightly sunned and a bit frayed but now in protective Mylar. The book in unusually excellent condition with only minor signs of wear. Name of preowner on endpaper. Very rare in this condition. This book is the result of a ten-years' collaboration between a Chinese scholar and a distinguished American poet. It consists of three hundred poems of the T'ang Dynasty, the golden age of Chinese poetry, done into English. The original collection was made by an anonymous Chinese editor in the eighteenth century and was modelled, in the number of poems chosen (311), on the Confucian Book of Poetry. It remains today the best short anthology of T'ang poems and in the original is the most popular book of poems ever published in China. (Publisher's Info). Sprache: english.
