From the jacket "It presents an analysis of the literature on the etiology and treatment of alcohol addiction, and the mental and bodily diseases of chronic alcoholism. Much of hte material is synthesized in tabular form, and there is an exhaustive bibliography. The purpose of the volume is to clarify the problems reviewed, as a basis for future research, and to serve as a reference work."
