Suite of 6 (of 7) color prints commissioned by Wright Aeronautical Corp. from artist Frank Lemon for a limited edition of 500 for Christmas, 1928. None of the prints are signed or numbered. Includes original stiff blue wrappers with paper label, with spine split and some tears. The prints are in very good to excellent condition, with some scattered creasing and indentations in the wide margins. The images themselves measure 32x30 cm. on sheets of wove paper 54x44 cm.The prints depict: 1) The Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk, 1903; 2) Louis Bleriot Passing the Cliffs of Dover in 1909; 3) Lts. Macready and Kelly Crossing the U.S. in 1923; 4) Lindbergh's Flight to Paris in 1927; 5) Kingsford-Smith's Flight to Australia in 1929; 6) Cmdr. Byrd at the Antarctic in 1929. Lacking is the print of Lt. Cmdr. Albert Read near the Azores in 1919.
