Quarter leather with cloth sides, bright gilt titling to the spines, with a gilt design to the fronts. Fine, SAVE FOR some rubbing to the gilt front of Volume I (also with some faint staining to the cloth, corresponding to the interior). The slipcase remains tight and square, with some light surface scratches (essentially to one side only). Volume I: lx, 331pp, illustrated; Volume II: vii, 379pp, illustrated; Volume III: vii, 600pp, illustrated. Illustrated by Raymond Hawthorn, Sue Scullard, et al. A collectible edition (qua edition), because of F. N.
