Although better known for their stained-glass windows, Louis Comfort Tiffany and the Tiffany Studios created entire interior designs for many of America's leading congregations - Protestant, Catholic and Jewish - providing mosaics, floors and lighting in addition to objects such as altarpieces, pulpits, candlesticks, headstones, vestments and jewellery. Focusing on their church decorations and memorials, this lavish exhibition catalogue reproduces preliminary cartoons and sketches as well as archive photographs of finished pieces, many never before published.

Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. There are 166 pages to this catalogue which was published to accompany the artist's work on a tour from February, 2020 to May, 2021. The show started in Rochester, New York at the Memorial Art Gallery (MAG) then traveled to the Toledo Museum of Art Toledo, Ohio and ended at the DeMoines Art Center, DeMoines Iowa. There are four essays about the artist's stained glass creations, an Introduction, and a Foreword. Additionally, there are multiple color images of the art. The tips are sharp, the spine ends stiff and the book is without writing, marginalia, highlighting or underlining. The top edge is stained, and there appears to be some rippling, a faint stain to the top edge of the pages on the interior of the book.

Monumental, colorful and expressive, Matt Wedel's ceramics revel in what's possible with clayIn a bright yellow studio nestled in the rolling hills of southeastern Ohio, Matt Wedel (born 1983) builds ideas out of clay. A prolific maker, he regularly pivots between stoneware, earthenware and porcelain, exploring the expressiveness of material and color. Wedel's focus shifts between figure and flora, representation and abstraction, monumental and intimate, object and drawing-dualities that have a supportive tension rather than being at odds with each other. For Wedel, everything that goes into the making of the object is the work of art. Matt Wedel: Phenomenal Debris investigates the development and cross-pollination of figuration and landscape in Wedel's ceramic sculptures, as well as his own psychology and how it transforms both his work and the way he perceives his role as artist, father and global citizen.
