Shaw printed many business related books from late 1800s to 1930s. The Chicago Trust Company started giving prizes for business monographs in 1923. This book was the 5th so awarded. There wer…e five people in the awards committee, one of whom headed what is now the prestigious Brookings Institution. Quite nice book. Its extrems are scuffed but not worn. Spine lettering faded some. One faded black streak on front cover fore edge. Clean top edge. Book tends to stay closed when stood on its spine. NEAR FINE book, no DJ. 1st edition. 8"x5", 86pp. fold out chart, in text ills (illustratore).
