The past two centuries of industrialization and urbanization have had an incisive impact on nature. Europe's forests, once wilderness, have become civilized, cultivated landscapes. Trained as a horticulturist, his photographs take viewers into the underbrush, where the forest betrays its most intimate spots, so to speak. Grundlinie, entstanden im Rahmen des Projekts «Enquête photographique neuchâteloise» der Stadtbibliothek La Chaux-de-Fonds, entstand im Westschweizer Kanton Neuenburg. Die Infrastruktur für die Mobilität und der gesellschaftliche Zusammenhalt verändern sich in dieser Region seit Jahren tiefgreifend.
