Volume 3, part 1 (NOT HERE) was published in 1924 Volume 3 part 2 (offered here) was published six years later, in 1930. Only volume 3 part 2 is offered here.

Encyclopedia of Talmudic literature of which only 3 volumes were published (vol.2 only), written by Michael Guttmann (Guttman Mihaly, 1872-1942), a Hungarian Jewish scholar and rabbi, an eminent authority in the areas of Halacha and Talmudic methodology, the relation of Judaism to non-Jewish environment, and history of science. Volume 3, part 1 and volume 3 part 2 were published in 1924 and 1930 respectively but is not here. Only volume 2 is offered here.

Two boards are detached, third board is attached and fourth board is lacking. The pages somewhat browned. The two volumes have 648 + 480 pages. The books are heavy so shipping them out of the United States would be costly. In volume 1 the title page gives the year as 1906, but the Hebrew title page states 1910.

Penultimate page lacks a square inch piece of the top corner blank margin, with loss of five words. Printed on very fine blue paper. Front paste down has a signature, in Hebrew, of I…tzhak ben Nachum Sandrov., nahum sandrow. 3, 68, 1, 42 leaves. Both title pages have at very top margin the neat inscription in Hebrew, which translates into: "Benjamin Zelig Fetterselig of Warsaw, known as Velvel, a Trisker Hassid." The Trisk Hassidim originated in Volyn, which was part of the Russian Empire, now in the Ukraine. There were c. 20,000 Trisk Hassidim before World War II. Most of them were murdered during the Shoa. The Trisk Hasidic dynasty was a branch of the Chernobyl dynasty, originating in Turiisk. The rebbes of the court also served in Poland. Today there are several descendants of the lineage, but they have no real court.
