While on Broadway as Billie Dawn in Born Yesterday, Laurence Olivier optioned the production for the West End, bringing Donlan with it. She spent much of the rest of her career in Britain, publishing her biography of her early years growing up with her father, Hollywood actor James Donlan in the 1930s, as well as her early career as a dancer and actress. From the library of Laurence Olivier (without any indication of such), to whom many books were gifted over the length of his illustrious, industrious, and enduring career as one of the most important figures of stage and screen in the 20th century.
