E. Crum. C'est mai…ntenant la version arabe de la Vie qui est editee dans la PO sur la base de deux manuscrits egyptiens. L'introduction examnine non seulement les problemes de transmission du texte, mais aussi tout ce que l'on connait des sources utilisees par l'auteur qui se cache sous le pseudonyme d'Athanase. La version arabe vient resoudre bien des questions laissees en suspens dans l'edition de Goodspeed et fait progresser de maniere notable notre connaissance non pas tellement du Severe historique, que de la reception de cette grande figure dans l'Eglise alexandrine de tradition non-chalcedonienne.
